We thought it would be a good time to put your mind at ease and give you the low down on what to expect and what you’ll need.
Here is a recap of the main event details:
You do not need a ticket or printed confirmation of your purchase. We have a master list of all ticket purchases. If you want to make sure you’re on our list, go to our web site here: Expected Attendees
Either Betty or Liz or someone else will check you in when you arrive.
You’ll be given a wristband. The wristband provides you access to the room and our bountiful buffet. We’ve been told that the wristbands are important to wear, and surely it won’t clash with your wrist corsage, ladies. No one without a wristband will be allowed in our party room. So you must get your wristband.
All drink tickets need to be redeemed inside our event room and drinks should be purchased there as well (as opposed to at the hotel bar.) Tips are not necessary on the drink tickets as they have been prepaid by your admission ticket.
Our fellow class of 84 alum Dale Gottschalk is a professional DJ in San Diego and will be providing the tunes. We’re keeping it simple, as we know everyone is here to catch up with old friends
We will have a roving photographer snapping pictures that will be posted to a shared site (details to come after the event). Make sure to flag her down to take group photos, but she’s only there at the beginning for a couple of hours so don’t wait too late if you want to get your photo taken by her.
WHAT TO WEAR?
There is no official dress code. Wear what you feel comfortable in. If you feel like doing a senior class homecoming Hawaiian theme for a throwback, awesome. Powder blue tux and matching dress for your date. Killer. Jeans and a tee-shirt, cocktail dress, button-down, pants, skirts, casual blouse, something more business casual…it’s all good. Whatever you feel comfortable in. Just don’t sweat it. It’s just your peeps.
There is no official plan for a picnic on Sunday as of now. However, if enough people are interested in meeting on Sunday for a casual picnic, Heidi Hamel Cornelison has volunteered to save us a table or two at a SJ park. Please let her know at the event. It will be a bring your own sandwich and drinks gathering.
